Another new Shop Car at R/T! The 2022 Subaru WRX project begins!

Meet our new 2022 Subaru WRX

The 2022 Subaru WRX is a popular choice among enthusiasts who crave a high-performance, all-wheel-drive sedan. One of the reasons for its popularity is the car's ability to be easily modified to enhance its performance even further. In this blog post, we'll take a closer look at the suspension modifications made to a 2022 Subaru WRX, which include Revel Coilovers and Cusco sway bars, as well as the upgraded wheels and tires.

Firstly, let's talk about the Revel  Coilovers. These coilovers are designed to provide an optimal balance between comfort and performance, allowing for a more comfortable ride while still being able to handle the car's power and cornering abilities. The Revel Coilovers feature a 32-way adjustable damping system that allows for precise tuning, making them perfect for any driving style. With the ability to lower the car's ride height, the Revel Coilovers also offer a more aggressive stance, giving the car a sportier look. They also use pillowball upper mounts in place of OEM rubber upper mounts provides the driver with enhanced driving feedback. These mounts feature a spherical bearing instead of a rubber bushing, and in some applications, an adjustable camber plate is included to improve tire traction and alignment. These coilovers also use a monotube damper which incorperates larger piston valves and increases the oil capacity. Because of this, the dampening force of the suspension system can react more quickly and efficiently across a wider range of temperatures. Furthermore, high-strength and rigid brackets are utilized to instill the driver with confidence during all driving scenarios. We also think the 10K front and rear springs will do nicely at the next track event, while still offering a comfortable drive on the way to car shows and around town.

Next up are the Cusco sway bars. These front and rear sway bars are designed to reduce body roll during hard cornering and improve overall handling. The Cusco sway bars are made from high-quality materials and are fully adjustable, allowing for fine-tuning of the car's handling characteristics. We also added whiteline adjustable front and rear swaybar endlinks so we can corner balance the car. The combination of the parts from  Revel, Cusco and Whiteline results in a car that can handle corners with ease, be competitive on the track and provide a more engaging driving experience overall.

Moving onto the wheels and tires, the 2022 Subaru WRX has been fitted with 18x9.5 et40 Enkei PF09 wheels wrapped in 265/35zr18 Falken rt615k tires. The Enkei PF09 wheels are part of the Enkei Racing wheel line. They are lightweight and strong, making them a perfect choice for a performance-oriented car like the WRX.  The fact that they look as good as they do is just an added bonus. They come in two colors: matte gunmetal seen on our shop car,or dark silver which is a bit lighter in color that ours and glossy. The The Falken rt615k tires that wrap the wheels are designed for high-performance driving, with a tread pattern that provides excellent grip and handling in both wet and dry conditions. With a wider tire profile than the stock setup, the Falken rt615k tires provide more grip and allow for higher cornering speeds.

In conclusion, the suspension modifications made to this 2022 Subaru WRX, including the Revel Coilovers and Cusco sway bars, along with the upgraded Enkei PF09 wheels and Falken rt615k tires, have greatly improved the car's handling and performance. These modifications not only provide a more engaging driving experience but also enhance the car's overall appearance. The 2022 Subaru WRX is a fantastic platform for modifications, and with the right upgrades, it can become an even more capable and fun car to drive.
